Hey Jim – thanks again for the interview! It was great meeting and partying with you at SES this year!
Steve, your efforts are an obvious PR stunt for Westwood. While I applaud your accomplishments, you are entirely missing the point about the lawsuit with Jame Hoyer. Perhaps your proud of the money you spent to teach yourself, but you are neither an educator nor an expert on every Westwood campus. As one, I can attest to the fact that Westwood does not adequately prepare students for employment in their chosen field. Many employers are looking for workers that can jump right into the fray. They do not want to have to train people who only the basics at best. You are the exception, not the rule. I’m sure you’ll dispute that, but you only have to look at their accredidation to prove my point. Anyone familiar with regional accredidation standards can tell you why Westwood does not qualify. Does that make it a bad school? By itself, no. What is more of a problem is the deceptive practices Westwood has been engaged in (lying about accredidation status (still doing it on Facebook in fact), lying about tuition costs, lying about staff members backgrounds and credentials, etc.) If you truly want to help the school, help bring these problems to light……..don’t sweep them under the rug. Of course, I know you won’t. Never let the truth get in the way of business, right?
