Dear Steve, Beth, and Mckenzie,
I have been thinking of you all for a long time. Have you on the prayer list at church. Just wanted to share a story with you from a lady at church. Actually, her granddaughter”Emily” lives in your(steve)uncle Donald & Aunt Joyce house they had in Mt. Sidney.Emily was 5yrs. old and was diagnois with leukemia just as she was starting kindergarden.(it was right after they bought Joyces house) She was in UVA & Kluge. She also was unresponsive for a long time. The doctors did not give any hope at all to the family. Emily also had stopped breathing and actually did not have a heartbeat for 10 or 12 minutes, she had died but they brought her back. That is when the doctors gave up all hope and said even if she survived she would be pretty much a vegetable, but they really did not give any hope she would live. Bonnie (maternal grandmother), who knows the Lord) refused to give up. She would go sit with her and read the bible to her, pray for her, had her church praying, and their was a older gentlemen at church who has 2 sons that are preachers different places. One preaches overseas somewhere, I think maybe Germany. They had people there praying. She said they had people praying all over the world. I don’t remember how long Bonnie told me this lasted but long story short. They started seeing improvement in little Emily. She came out of the coma. At first she could not speak. They said she would never speak, walk, or anything. Bonnie was determined. She would work with her. I forget all the details. I am sad to say. ( i will ask Bonnie again)But I do remember Bonnie saying that this little girl had talked about the people around her bed and that she had looked down and seen all these medical people around this little girl and it was her. Remember this child was 5 at the time. I wish I could remember all Bonnie had told me about this out of body experience this little girl had. Anyway Emilys grandmother was so happy that Emily had experience a “relationship” with God. Emily wanted to go to church and all she talked about was God/Jesus. She is now 9 years old and when I see her I had no idea that she had been through any of this. I have only been going to this church 1 and 1/2years. I had requested prayer again for Mckenzie and gave the congregation an update on her condition. This has been about 3 weeks ago.. . . …….Bonnie told me to tell you both there is definitely POWER in PRAYER!, and for you all NOT TO GIVE UP HOPE. Grandma(Bonnie) says that Emily cannot run and she is slow in learning and I think has to have a special tuitor in some things. But she can walk and does talk. Praise God. Bonnie gives thanks and praise to God our father, for his healing of Emily. Miracles still happen & my prayer is God with Bless you all with one.Sounds like things are improving and I pray this is just the beginning of wonderful things to come. My heart goes out to you all. I will continue to pray for you and yours. God Bless You!!!!!!!!!!! The only sad part to this……..Emily is now 9 yrs. old and when her grandmother mentions the things that Emily had told her about, while she was unconscious, she no longer remembers and doesn’t like to come to church like she use to. Bonnie had tears in her eyes as she was telling me this. My hair stood up on my arms. It gave me chills. I just wish I could remember her whole testimony. This was only parts of what I could remember. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to share this with you. Steve, Joyce gave me your cell and I was going to call, but with everything going on I figured you were so busy, time just got away from me. Take care and if we can help in any way please let us know. Thinking of you. Hang in there. If you would like to call me, my number is 248-5412 My Heart is with you all.
Love,
Janice & Doug Bibb
