Mitch Resnick, Professor of Learning Research at the MIT Media Lab and head of the Scratch development team introduces us to Scratch, a programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art and share them on the Web.
Scratch is designed to enhance the technological fluency of young people, helping them learn to express themselves creatively with new technologies.

It may not be the best way to learn, but I learned by scripting things to make my life easier at work. I started with macros to automate the keyboard and ended up building large databases that automatically collect and sort important information for me.
